Adobe Flash Security Settings
Acorn on-demand tuition courses have been built using Adobe Flash.
This page provides some instructions for customers who have been unable to view the content purchased on a USB stick.
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1. Open your default browser and navigate to the following page:
https://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html
You will notice the page contains a configurable panel to the right of the page, as highlighted in the image below:
2. In the drop-down list, choose "Add location"
3. Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager asks you which folder or file can be trusted.
Enter the location of the drive for the USB stick followed by a colon and backslash.
For example, if your USB is using the letter E for its drive location, then enter E:\ and then click the "Confirm" button.
4. You have two options; you can either choose to have Adobe Flash "Always ask" you each time you wish to play content from this location or you can
configure it to "Always allow" the content to be played from this location. Choose whichever option you prefer.
5. Restart your browser by closing down all windows. The content should now work.
